SUBSIDE Task 2.0 - Development of prototype data services deployment and pilot testing

A prototype with core data management services (including with visualization and analysis capabilities) will be developed with a dashboard for visualizing and viewing available subsidence data across the state. UT and TWDB will work together to define priority data management features and collaborate to identify example pilot data collections for functional testing of data management capabilities. The subsidence data dashboard may include experimental user experience components that incorporate AI assistance to experiment with interactive interfaces, such as ontology driven alerts or conversational AI. Any AI products/outcomes will adhere to the TWDB AI standards.

• Deliverable 2.1 – Develop a design and prototype for data ingest and registry architecture with descriptions that include best practices for metadata that aligns with the subsidence data management system data model and data formatting guidelines.

• Deliverable 2.2 – Review and select pilot data collections and test the data ingest, search, sharing, preservation, and analysis capabilities. Pilot testing will establish functional batch upload capabilities with basic provenance tracking that includes information such as the time and date of upload and file version. The system design will consider machine readability features and application protocol interfaces (API) access to data collections.

• Deliverable 2.3 – Develop an automated process to perform quality assurance and quality control on data collected with various methods to visualize the data. Collaborate and work with the USGS to select, implement, and finalize parameter limitations and setting in the tool.

• Deliverable 2.4 – Create an initial example data collection with information and data provided by the TWDB. Document performance using the test dataset on services in Deliverable 2.2.

• Deliverable 2.5 – Evaluate feature requests for data management and information visualization then provide a report with recommendations for the design and deployment of an interactive subsidence dashboard using county level information as a possible unit of exploration and data discovery.

• Deliverable 2..6 – Deploy updated prototype subsidence data management and analytics prototype
