NHDPlus High Resolution and WBD hydrography, Guadalupe basin (HU4 1210)

Summary. USGS NHDPlus HR flowlines, waterbodies, catchments and value-added attributes for hydrologic unit 1210, plus the Watershed Boundary Dataset for region 12. Provides river axis lines, bank/sink polygons and catchment boundaries for the Scenarify domain.

Scenarify role. River axis lines (recommended), river bank polygons, sink polygons, catchments (Rain domain). Clip to HUC-8 12100201 Upper Guadalupe, HUC-12s around Kerrville.

Access. Public S3 zips, no auth (see resources). Also available through the TNM Access API and the USGS Hydro Network-Linked Data Index.

Format and CRS. Esri File Geodatabase (FileGDB), NAD83 geographic (EPSG:4269). Convert to shapefile/GeoPackage and reproject to EPSG:6343 for Scenarify.

Coverage. Guadalupe-San Antonio HU4 1210; WBD region 12 (Texas-Gulf).

Provenance and caveats. NHDPlus HR Beta release. Flowline geometry is from 1:24k NHD, not lidar; expect offsets from the 1 m DTM thalweg of tens of metres in places.
