TIFF-TWDB Stakeholder workshop September 7, 2022

On September 7, 2022, the Texas Integrated Flooding Framework (TIFF) Steering Committee and the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) hosted a virtual subsidence workshop attended by 177 participants. The workshop aimed to enhance coordination in subsidence data collection and sharing across Texas. It featured nine pre-recorded presentations from subsidence data experts, covering the current state of subsidence research and available tools, including studies on geology, InSAR, GPS, and tide gauges. The event facilitated an open discussion to identify participants’ needs and goals regarding subsidence data, marking the beginning of efforts to centralize and synergize subsidence research in the state.
